A yearly fluid-check is a necessary step to ensure long-lasting use of any heat transfer fluid – no matter which brand, chemical composition or use.

At Micocal we offer the following thermal oil tests: 

•  Synthetic heat transfer fluids analysis according to DIN 51529

• Mineral oil-based heat transfer fluids analysis according to DIN 51529

• Determining the proportion of silicone oil in the thermal oil for biomass  heating plants with ORC circuit

After our precise inspection of your in-use thermal oil we will prepare a detailed report with our evaluation of the results. Our evaluation will take aspects into account which might impact the system performance of your fluid such as contamination, moisture, thermal degradation and give suggestions for improvement in the use of the used product. It will also compare your current product with new fluid.

Please note that samples can only be analyzed, if we receive a filled out sample-info-form. Please fill out the form and attach it to the delivery of the sample bottle(s), if possible send it via email in advance.

We are glad to offer you advice on how to extend the lifetime of your in-use product with several modifications to your thermal oil system. This can be combined with a site visit with one of our engineers. Also, if you are thinking of adding apparatus/components such as heat exchangers, pumps and so on to your system, we are able to give advice on which to use.

It is not always necessary to completely exchange the whole fluid, if it has already been used in an unfavorable way. Our engineers can come up with plans on how to limit the damage and which steps can be taken in order to be able to re-use your product. Sometimes the right cleaning/filtering process is able to prevent from having to change the whole fluid..

We are also happy to help with trouble shooting for your system. We will assist you with finding the problem and suggest possible solutions.
